shelf's in California?

This is from the Mobil site:

From ExxonMobil:

"Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF has not been recalled. It is, however, temporarily
unavailable for sale in the state of California. We can assure you that
there are no performance or safety concerns with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF.
ExxonMobil stands behind this product. Thank you for your interest and
loyalty."

I have read that it is a labeling problem and that they are changing their labels to satisfy the California regulatory agencies.

Thanks Emery.
I read that too from their web site.
Someone told me it was because of the additives.
So I was wondering What additives?
I was using Amsoil but switched to Mobil1 because of availability on
the road but now with none in California, I'm looking for an
alternative unless its coming back very soon.

This is simple.

Stock up on Mobil 1 before entering CA, when you need some its already
in your GMC.

With the number of transmissions that Manny rebuilds in a year that probably is not practical.

Check out Royal Purple Max ATF, you can get it in 12 bottle cases, 5 gallon pails, as well large capacity drums. That stuff works great, and has kept my A4LD auto tranny alive bening a blown four banger putting more then 100 HP through the tranny then it was rated for... It aint cheap but its good stuff!

Specs on DEXRON VI look good. It's rated at 100K miles in modern transmissions.

Shan,
Probably the same as the rest of the country. We are fortunate here in
Sierra Vista, our unemployment rate has not changed, about 5-6% primarily
because of Ft. Huachuca, the No. 1 employer in the state. There are dozens
of jobs here that can't be filled. Everyone who wants to work has a job, no
one left to hire.
John Bounds, (Son of the one and only) came here and got an extremely well
paying position in just a few days. Same for anyone else with any technical
skills.
We also have an excellent governor.

Steve,

I subscribe to Jan's email newsletter and enjoyed the recent one where she
refused to change the names of Christmas and Hanukah to politically correct
terms!
