Just fixed and painted the original grill. The original springs that provided some flex for the grill are gone. I was thinking that before I break it again that I find the proper spring to use with the 10-32 bolts.
Anyone know the size of these springs?
thanks

Bruce,
Probably at Emory's suggestion, as below, I installed my grille with springs
only several years ago. I heartily recommend that method. No more pulled
out studs, and it's much quicker and easier to pop the grille out.
In my case I had a large collection of counterbalance springs salvaged when
I replaced the old windows in our home. I don't know how to describe their
tension to you -- unless you want me to use a scale or weight to measure the
deflection under a known load. I'd just buy some that "feel right". I used
six -- one at top and bottom of each end, and in the middle. Some are
attached to the condenser mounting brackets; others to the turnbuckle strut
between the headlight housings.
