We know that a lot of you just tolerate belonging to FMCA and only do it to
belong to your favorite GMC Chapter, but for those of you that belong,
there is a new benefit that will be yours come January 1st that could be
considered worth the cost of belonging. It is the new FMCAssist program that is
replacing the current MedEx program and is FREE to all FMCA members.
Details about it are covered in the December issue of Family Motor Coaching
magazine starting on page 36 and your member card is on page 37.
For those of you that know about MedEx, this new plan is far superior to
it, so read about it, inform yourselves and carry your card.

And for any GMCer that might be going to the FMCA Western Area rally in
Indio this January, let us know so you can park with the GMC49er group.

And don't forget to let me know if you're interested and want to be kept
posted about the mini-rally & caravan to FMCA Perry in March 2011. Remember
to include "FMCA" in the Subject.

Ken, maybe we need a seperate thread on this. I can't recall the exact dates. I do know there was a good bit of interest shown back in the Fall when it was brought up. Teri and I hope to be there but it is too far in advance and too many miles for us to commit yet. It could be a really fun get together. There are lots of things to see at one of these things. The fees are cheap also. Seems 135-150 bux rings a bell. They told us at Redmond that if we would show up early we can all be parked together and they will "showcase" us out front, if we want.

PS,
What Fay says is a real "something" to look at. That was the biggest piece of information I remembered from Redmond.

I was so impressed when I came across the article that I put info about same
on www.gmceast.com with a bit of a twist. I think it's a great benefit I
hope to never take advantage of (which is why they call in insurance instead
of certainty).

Dan,
We already have a thread, "FMCA 2011". Here's an extract from my
announcement of 1 Dec:
===================================
March 14 to 17, 2011 FMCA rally at Perry, GA:

Americus, GA is only 45 miles SW of Perry. 12 miles west of here, my aunt
has a 249 acre "play farm"
(http://goo.gl/N89IA ), mostly wooded and hilly, with a cabin, two fish
ponds, a barn, and plenty of parking for as many GMC's as we're likely to be
able to round up. My proposal is that GMCers gather there a couple of days
before FMCA starts, say beginning on March 11th.
...
On March 13th or 14th (to be coordinated with FMCA), we'll caravan the 53
miles to Perry and make a Grand Entrance -- ensuring that we're parked
together. http://www.fmca.com/conventions/perry-2011
...
To sweeten the pot even more: GMC Eastern States is having a rally at
Dillard, GA during 17-20 March...
===================================
The idea is that we won't just hold them to the promise to park us together
-- we'll force it by showing up together. :-)

Ok, we need to bring it back up next month and see if we can get a good sized group to attend. I like the idea of us rolling in together. That will be great for folks who have never attended an FMCA event. As one who has been privaleged to have experienced yall's hospitality, I hope to do it again. That is a neat place to gather.
Thanks Ken,
Dan
