There is a quadrajet on e-bay. Starting bid is $150. It says it is rebuilt:

Nice pictures. Anyone know who this is?

(I am not currently in need of a new carb.)

Sure looks nice. 100% satisfaction rating
and over 100 quadrajet carbs since 2009.

I may just have to have a go at this one
if it is, in fact, the correct part number.

The carb on "The Money Pit" is a mess. Just
ask CB Wood! It will hardly start or run,
no fast idle, no opening of secondaries, etc.

Or maybe I'll just send the current one to
him for reman!

Mac,
Two days ago you said you were going to bid on it so
the rest of us stayed off. Also when he stated he would
rebuild mine for $130.00 + shipping, I would probably go that
way instead of bidding against some one else. Just my opinion.

Mac et al,

I am watching this carb and may or may not bid depending on how high it
goes. I want a spare here in Australia to carry with me for The Blue Streak
if the Holley FI dies in the Outback and to add to the spares pool we have
Downunder.

I will give you a heads up as to how I bid on eBay. I have learned through
the years not to get into bidding wars. I determine what the item is worth
to me and then in the last SECONDS of the auction put in my bid. If I win
great, if not I haven't gotten into a bidding war and wound up paying more
than the bloody thing is worth!

I see that there are only two bidders currently, however, as noted above
there could be a half a dozen guys with this on their watch list who will
wait until the last seconds of the auction to place a bid like I might!

Regards,
Rob M.

Hi, Charles.

Well, since the bidding has already gotten to $172.50,
I'm probably going to consider the rebuild myself.

I'll continue to watch the bidding and might go a bit
higher, but not much.

Not having to provide a rebuildable core (as far as I
can see from the ad) is a plus, for sure.
