Today was our day to depart but we have rain all the way down 67 and 30 through Arkansas and into Tx. It will be kinda cool tomorrow. Looks like we might have 3 good days of travel Wed-Friday. The evening temps should be in the 40's, and lots of sunshine during the daylight hours. Our plan is to get off I-30 and cut across north Tx. on 82. We have not seen this area before and the 2 lanes look much better to me than the interstates. Our hope is to angle down and hit I-20 at Sweetwater. I have the tracker running in the GMC. We enjoy our family and friends "riding" along with us via the tracking system. You may access it at:

I also have the link at the top of our blog that can be accessed at:

My amateur radio license is WD0AFQ should you need to poke it in the slot on the map. That is a ZERO after D and before A.
Should you see us on the road, Silver and Black coach with a black Bra on front, pulling a Black Ponitac Vibe, honk and wave. Maybe run us down and invite us over for supper. Don't tell Teri I said that. She says I embarrass her sometimes.
We also run the netbook online so email us along the way if you want. I am pretty good with internet while driving the GMC as there is a great secretary emplyed in our coach. She takes dictation very well.
Hope to see some of you out on the road.

Dan,
It's supposed to get up to 71 in Duncan by Friday. Cold in Tucson (high of 50 [we're spoiled]) today and heading your way. You'll be driving into nicer weather as you head west.

If you [any of you] ever come across I-40 or US 60 or up or down I-25, I
have a place 1/2 mile east of the semi-warm Rio Grande with elec, fresh
ground coffee and choices of food/dinner for all RVer's that are members
here --We'd love to see more than the two rigs We've been in.
Adiós. . .

<<<WD0AFQ wrote on Mon, 29 November 2010 15:37]Thanks Bob and Hal. I may have been close to your place in times past, on 60. We don't want to do the run down from Carlsbad to El Paso this time Hal>>>
Hey Dan
My new Streets 2010 says there are few miles of construction on I10 just into New MX.
I'm making the run down I10 to Phoenix a few weeks after you. Streets also suggested cutting out I10 from Midland to ElPaso by taking 158 out of Midland then 302, 295, 652 and then a little of 180 across the North side of El Paso. Maybe a 6 of 1 or a half a doz thing, but I have never been that way in 40 years of going down 10 so I'm going to try something different than the wide open space through Van Horn. Although, there should be some 80 MPH on that stretch of 10!

Dan,
You said
"My amateur radio license is WD0AFQ should you need to poke it in the slot on the map. That is a ZERO after D and before A."
Not sure what that means. Is there a way to 'call' you via
your tracker web site?
By the way, just got my radio license (with BIG help from
Desmond on Treasure Island).
My call is WQMP883.
