Today [Sat Nov 27] I received my monthly issue of the magazine CLASSIC CARS

On page 86 [and 87] is an article about a man who still is alive and living
in Florida [God's waiting room]
His name is Glen Brookbank and the article relates how, in 1929, he began
employment at General Motors at the ripe old age of 16 as a menial
apprentice, working on sheet metal.
And traces his development career thru GM working on buses, taxis and trucks
until he retired, but not until he contributed to the design of the GMC
motorhomes we all love.
And unless you haven' t put it together yet, one of the models was
purportedly named after him.

Billy,George,
I spoke with Glen Brookbank briefly today but he was headed out to lunch so we didn't get much of a chance to discuss GMC Motorhomes. I will be talking with him again next week and will let you know any GMC MH details we discuss. By the way, he is 98 years old.

Note: Anyone looking for the magazine, it is Hemmings Classic Cars.

Ref: the identification of Glen Brookbank in mag article

The specific issue in question here is Jan 2011, #76 and is titled Hemmings
CLASSIC CAR.
The cover pictures a pink '56 DeSoto Hemi vs. A black '57 Chevy fuelie,
which is the feature story inside.
I may have received an early subscription copy and others reach newstands
later.
It is a good read.
Hope we can get some interesting info from respondant
