I haven`t found much info on Crestmont by Midas models. They seem to be rare since they were the only GMCs offered with a full bath tub. Not a step type. Rob Mueller found these factory pics for me. Thanks Rob.. If anyone has any Crestmont info, I would be interested in seeing it..

Are you sure the photo of the assembly line is a Crestmont? Dated Feb 1973.

I noticed that also Dennis. Jim B says my Crestmont has many early features as the stainless belt line and the rise up seat pedistals. It also has a Generac instead of an Onan and appears original. My Crestmont does not have Midas wrote in the stripe, and has GMC on the pass side hood opening, but could have been changed as it has been painted, but looks like the original stripe was taped off and kept? The more I learn, the less I know??? It does not have Crestmont on it anywhere, The tag on the driver side kick panel says "built by Norris homes" which I believe was a division of Midas at the time. The brocure is my coach to a "T" down to the upholstry..

I have changed the curtains.. The pic of the coach with Midas in the stripe has the same upholstry on the seats.

Man the upholstery on your coach look in good shape and a perfect match for the one in the brochure! Is the rest of the coach original??

Cat got me a set of the Honda Tan leather ones for my B-day coming up. I still got the original seats and pedistals with one small tear in the drivers seat.

having actually changed out a tire less than 16 hours ago, Ian tell you I destroyed one torque wrench because my arm strength exceeded the 150 ft lbs of the wrench head. I took a breaker bar to torque it the rest of the way in. basically when I was able to roll the full coach forward a couple inches by pulling on the breaker bar, I figured it was sufficient torque. On a side note I have a slightly sore shoulder and tricep this morning, feels like I hit the gym, so in lew of a workout, one can just go torque lugnuts on their coach

A lady from Spokane came through here last week and found my name on the black List and needed some help. When I was in the coach I noticed it had the name Midas on the glove compartment door. She didn't know anything about the Midas and now I can't remember her name.

The photo with the GMCs over the pit are from the original GMC plant in Pontiac and was part of a 1973 GMC press release package. This picture has nothing to do with Midas/Crestmont models.
The picture of the GMC with the Sports Coach I thought was probably a Transmode upfitted by Sports Coach (check the name on the stripe below the passenger side window).
Chuck, I had spoken to Ray Bingham some time ago and he knows someont that worked at the Midas factory, you might give him a call and see what you can find there.
Note: These pictures are presently for sale on ebay if anyone is interested.

At my age last week is like your last year. However I misspoke about Spokane, it was the Seattle area and I do have a couple calls from the same number which is: 2066185322. I would think some one from that area would know her.
