I'm selling my '75 Transmode. I bought this in Phoenix around 2005. It was driven to Tacoma, WA where it sat for about a year. Then I drove it to Colorado Springs and had a very eventful trip because of the fuel lines. I've been using it as my home away from home for several years.
Here's the work that's been done on it. New fuel lines, manifold heat blocked off, timing gear set, split fan shroud,KYB gas shocks, mufflers. The coach was driven back to Tacoma in August 2010 and it didn't miss a beat. The engine is the sweetest running 455, when you come to a stop it's so smooth you'll think it quit running. It steers well and stops on a dime. Really good brakes. I think it needs a new front wheel bearing and I will be taking care of that before it's sold. My friend says it's fine and he's usually right but I want to check it out and lube both anyway before it's sold. The tires have good tread and just made the 1400 mile trip to Washington without any problems. They are 10 years old.

The body is straight. It has four side windows, two small ones in the rear and two large ones in the front. The small window that's normally in the galley is not cut out of the body. I have the window but wasn't going to use it. There's one small round hole cut into the left side near the roof. The PO did that. I have it patched. other than that there are no holes in the body. You get to do that! There was never a generator so, the floor is not cut out. Unfortunately, it did suffer through a hail storm in Colorado and there's some hail damage to the roof. Since there's no headliner it would take an afternoon of hammer and dolly work to straighten out. Or you could just leave it since it's on the roof. Coach was originally white and it's been repainted a slightly less bright white. It looks good.

The interior caps are in good shape. There's no furniture or appliances. Why pay for 35 year old upholstery and appliances that you're just going to throw away? Build this one exactly how you want it.

I'm asking $3,500 for it. Read some of the threads here. People have spent thousands more for one that looks good, has an old interior and appliances but haven't used them because they were not drivable when they bought them.  They just sit in their driveway. What good is a motorhome if it doesn't move? With this one you get something you can drive anywhere right now. Add some window covers and some camping gear and you can camp in it right now.

Cash is tight, I know that. I don't have to sell this but I have more and I don't need it and you might like to have it. We also lose interest in our toys. If you would like to trade something let me know. I'm interested in aircooled VWs, motorcycles, boats or who knows what.

Thanks,
Richard

Edit: New price and some typos.
Edit: I'll add to the trade items 50s or 60s car. Truck that can tow 5000#.

I'll send one to you now and try to get some more. E-mail me at rik737@yahoo.com. Nova Scotia is a long way from Tacoma! I would drive it back to Colorado for you if you like.

I'll be driving this back to Colorado around the 20th of April. If anyone is interested I can adjust my route to show it to you. Nothing has changed since my original post.

Finished the trip from Tacoma to Colorado. Had a great drive. It ran amazing well. I did have one or two very minor issues but you can drive this anywhere. The coach is still for sale. I forgot to mention it has Springfield Distributor and correct Carburetor from Applied GMC. Those two parts alone cost about $1000.

Also, not included but if you buy the coach you get first shot at some wheels I'm selling separately. Seven Alcoa Hotshots, six Copper load range E tires. all mounted up and ready to go. I bought six wheels and tires new a few years ago. put one trip on them for a total of 1800 miles then took them off and stored them. They've been in my warehouse ever since. The seventh wheel is a used spare I also bought from applied. I have the caps and lug nuts. Mint condition.

Price on the Transmode is now $3500.

Still willing to trade for VWs, the older the better.

Interested in your Alcoa hotshots, bounce back or send an email offline. Especially interested if they are in Colorado rather than Nova Scotia.

Still have the transmode and hotshots. In case it was missed in the long winded posts, the coach is in Colorado now.

I assume your couch is in Colorado? I live in Puyallup, wondering if you could send me photos of the coach and the wheels?

Are the wheels still in Tacoma?

I am interested in the wheels and have a friend that may be interested in your coach...

Here is my e-mail: quadracerx@aol.com

Thanks,

Steve

I sent you a photo Steve.

I've had several people asking about selling the wheels first. I want to sell them with the coach or sell the coach first.

Also, I have a 1973 23' in Tacoma. Engine runs and stock interior except later seats. It is not drivable due to wiring. $2500
