I've had continuous problems with TP getting caught on the tank sensors and giving me false level readings. By the end of the summer, my tanks read as full, even after dumping. At the end of this season, I filled the tanks to 3/4 full twice with plain water, and drove the length of my local road (1/8 mile) accelerating and breaking hard to get the water to slosh against the sensors and flush the TP off of the internal terminals. I was successful in flushing the TP off of the terminals so that now the tanks read as empty. I'm using Scott brand 1000 single sheet which is septic safe TP. I even took several sheets of TP (not used ) , placed them in a glass of water and shook them to see if the TP dissolved...and it did break up quite easily. But why the problem? What brand/type of TP are you using in your MH? Have you had this problem, and what did you do to solve it?

Walmart Brand.. so efficient it dissolves while wiping. No, seriously... it turns to nothing in water, and it's $1.17 for 4 rolls and you find it in the sporting goods department.

Seriously, we use the same (Scott single ply) as you. My tank gauge doesn't work anyway, maybe that's why. I'll fix it someday. For now a look down the toilet with a flashlight will have to suffice.

Larry,
We've been using single sheet TP (any brand) in Double Trouble and haven't
had any problems like you describe.
It sounds like your Royale has a similar system to my Avion. It has 5 "nuts"
cast into the tank to which terminals / leads are attached with screws.
There 5 levels and as the water level reaches the screw and you push the
Holding Tank switch on the control panel next to the entry door and a bulb
lights up indicating E - 1/4 - 1/2 - 3/4 - F.
I was thinking if the screws protrude through the cast in "nuts" and into
the tank the T/P could get stuck on them and "drape" downwards from a higher
screw to a lower screw. Is it feasible to unscrew them and check their
length?
One thing we do every so often is use a wand stuck into the toilet and blast
the "crap" loose! ;-)
You could try Ken Burton's two bags of ice trick.

Larry,
I had the same sensors in my GMC and I used a Thetford product mixed with
water once a year to clean the sensors. Sort of like an electrical contact
cleaner that works in water. I never had problems once I stated using that
stuff.

Do not put TP in the holding tank. A hold-over from living aboard a
sail boat. Separate container for things like that. As for cleanning
the tank you can't beat a bag of ice and a cup of Tide for the trip
home............Terry
