Found product on Amazon that looks handy for really
determining either
the watts or amps an AC load is taking.
* Accurate digital readout from 1 to 15 amps and 125 to
1875 watts
* Easy slide-switch action instantly converts between
Amps and Watts
* Long 26-inch cord reaches to remote electrical outlets.
* Only tester of its kind that gives a quick digital
readout of Amps or Watts used by any plug-in appliance.
* Perfect for choosing the correct portable generator to
purchase.

The Kill A Watt 4400, which has been on the market for quite a while, and is about the same price tells you Volts, Amps, Watts, Volt amps, Power factor, and Hz (frequency), as well as Kwh over time. So, it does far more for the same price. It also will read watts down to less than 5, far better than the 125 this unit.
As for their claim that it is "the only tester of its kind.... " well, guess they never looked at the competition. Maybe they mean that it is the only unit which has a very limited use....lol. Advertising is fun.

Terry,
Why buy this for $24.97 when you can buy the Kill-A-Watt for $16.99 from
Amazon also?
The next question is why in the world would you buy this and a Kill-A-Watt?
Look under "Frequently Bought Together" at the bottom of the linked page!
Regards,
Rob
