I realize most folks run Alcoa's or Eagles, but I ran accross a 16" steel wheel from Southwest Wheel (#FO29587)rated at 2540 lbs at 80psi they are $91.00 each, just wondering if anyone is using this wheel.
Thanks

Bill,

The problem with steel wheels is that the only ones that will fit our front
disks have a "domed" center section. If these wheels have them you're good
to go, if not . . . .

Here's some pictures of the correct steel wheels:

Thanks Rob, but might be a dead issue now, re-checked the we-site and in one week prices increased to $135.00 so for a few extra bucks can get a set of Eagles

I have been watching Craigslist and picked up 6 used steel wheels for $25 each. I haven't checked them for "trueness" and "roundness" but they "look" OK.

Bill;
Why spend $ 91.00 for a Steel Wheel + S&H ~
when you can get the Eagle # 0589 / short cap /8 lugnuts for $ 150.00 Delivered ~

Just get them 2 at a time ~
Put the first 2 on the front ~ when you purchase the next 2, then put all 4 on the rears `
Put the next 2 that you purchase on the front ~

$ 531.00 ?

$ 91.00 Steel Wheel + $ 25.00 S & H = $ 116.00 +/-

$ 150 Eagle Alloy Wheel # 0569 / Short Cap / 8 Lugnuts = $ 150.00

Thats $ 35.00 / $ 40.00 more oer wheel
30 X 7 = $ 210.00
40 X 7 = $ 280.00

Spend about $300.00 more at most ~ and still have decent Alloys

Really trying to watch the budget, but don't want to be penny wise and dollar foolish. I have searched for a listing of wheels that would fit our GMC,this way I can keep an eye out on E-Bay or Craigslist is there such an animal that would be helpful, thanks for all your input
