hello all

i don't quite know how to say this, so i am just going to throw
out there and beg for your tolerance.

i have been looking for the past year and half for a 76-78
gmc preferrably palm beach, only other qualifications are
dual ac, and awning.

i have chf (congestive heart failure) which makse many jobs difficult for me, but i am not on any welfare, or other public support.

well now the other shoe has dropped and the bulding where i have cheap rent is being sold, and i will shortly be homeless.

i have two high value assettes two my name

1 i have a searchcam 2000 rescue system from when i was more healthy and involved in volunteer search and rescue, and ems. which i am looking to sell, trade, (any help in selling trading for gmc would be appreciated)

2 i own a 2001 nissan xterra (yellow) suv roughly 67,000 miles paid, pink slip in hand, which i love, and hate to part with, but if its that or homelessness i guess i have no real choice at this point am offering it in trade for above gmc

so any takers out there looking for a nice little suv, great in the snow, 1 scratch on passengers side door from friends kids bike, inside a little dirty, not torn up and i will clean.

i would ask if you really feel the need to comment negatively
please refrain from doing so, as this whole situation is already causing me depression and physical distress.

this is no bs, sob story i am not asking for any freebies.

i thank you for your indulgance

Michael,

As I have seen on this list, you have come to the right place. There are
always GMCs coming up for sale. I second JDM's note - where are you
located?

If you need a coach quickly, you may have to open your search to other years
and trimlines.

JMHO,

Good Luck,

hello all

i want to thank everybody for their response, and apologuise for my delay in response.
i am normaly a fairly strong person, but this was a big kick in the head for me. finding out that the building where i live is up for sale, and will be turned into offices.
to be honest with all, the whole thing is really overwhelming me,
(the meer thought of having to deal with 20 years of things by myself is very hard, what's important, what to give away, what to try to sell, what to throw out)
and causing me to be seriously depressed (this is just the latest in a very bad past two years)

to answer your questions i live in eastern pennsylvania
about an hour north of philly (bethlthem)

the owner of the building doesn't know how fast it will sell.
as i was told it could be a month, could be six months, who knows with this economy?

i am open to all reasonable trade offers the palm beach is just a personal preferrence (yea i like the lime green)
but i do plan to head south into either florida, or texas, when all is said and done so the dual ac, and awning are very high on the priority list for me.

thanks again to all for allowing me to post here and kind of vent

Hi Michael,

We are not what we own, but are the ones living the illusions of ownership,
often not knowing that things we identify ourselves with often own us.  Perhaps
after twenty years, change will bring you great adventure and open many doors of
possibilities.  Ghosts from the past and fears of the future are but illusions
we create, within the canyons of our minds, to keep us from having to face
living in the eternal moment of now, the only thing we truly have.  Expect the
best and good things will happen. Good luck and happy trails.

thanks for the thoughts howard

i really am at a loss for words at this time, hopefully something will fall into place, and life will resume,
otherwise the mere thought of the alternative is more than i think i can bear.
but as a dearly departed friend of mine used to say we are never given more than we can bear

thanks again
