I'll be meeting with Jim and Mary Hupy for a late lunch/early dinner. If anyone else wishes to get together, just show up. (GMC's are optional.)

26 October 3:00pm at The TA truck stop a couple of miles south of Wilsonville Oregon.

My cell is 971-Five Seven Zero-6831. I think I'll bring my '78 Birch. (I have Jim's cell but will not post without his permission.)

I know the day and time are not that good for "normal" working folks. We can work on getting a better day and time for meetings in the future.

Thoughts for the future:
Without knowing about the area or the restaurants, The Original Pancake House, 4685 North Portland Road N.E. Salem, Oregon 97305 (503-393-9124) looks like a good location. Looking at Google maps, It is just off of I-5, there seems to be a tool store with a large parking lot next door. Are they (the restaurant and tool store) open on Sundays around noon? Anyone ever eaten there? Anyone have any other ideas for meeting locations?

Mike & all, Mary & I have eaten at the original pancake house many times.
Good service, average coffee and plenty of it, very good food. They share
the large parking lot with Harbor Freight and they ar open on Sunday's.
(don't ask how I know). Nearly across the Portland road is Shroeders Guest
House restaurant. We have also eaten there many times. The Willamette Valley
Street Rodders, of which I am a member, eats there every Saturday morning
and then does something like a car show or swap meet or a shop tour almost
every weekend. Food is average, reasonably priced. Wait staff are smartass
like me. comfortable place. Their parking lot is usually quite busy, but the
Harbour Freight lot is across the street and slightly South of their
location. Another location with nearby restaurants is the East Salem Fred
Meyer, very near the Market street exit from I-5. Lots of choices here,
people here in Salem have forgotton how to cook, there is every kind of food
restaurants on Lancaster Drive. Traffic is what you would expect on
weekends. Gridlock from signal to signal. If anyone wants to contact me my
cell phone # is 503 931-4988. Thanks Mike for respecting my privacy.
