I kept leaving my turn signals on and I thought of using a buzzer but didn't like thinking about all the additional noise. Instead, I bought a couple of 12V LEDs from Radio Shack, installed them above the speedometer and connected them in parallel with the existing bulbs. You can't miss them - no more problems.

Don't need a part number, Max
Just go to Radio Shack and buy a 12V. Piezio buzzer. They have lots.

Add in parallel to your 2 contact turn signal can, above/near right foot.
Observe polarity; try it one way and then if a no go, reverse leads.

I installed one and it was so loud that I ran two strips of black tape
around it to muffle it down.
Works great.
Cost about $5

Might even think about adding one to your backup light socket to get 'noise'
when in reverse.

My Hearing has become more selective and the dash light doesn't give
indication of the signals being on.
I found myself flipping the turn signal to see if in fact I had turned them
on or left them on.
I went to Walmart and bought the short strip RED LED lights (automotive
section) and mounted them on my mirrors,
Helps me see that the signals are on and also lets the guy on the road
beside me know my intentions.

I'll give you the same recommendation that I gave Arch several years ago.

I have used Sonalerts Made by Mallory to do this for the last 40 years in my cars and airplanes. I had a source for them up until I retired about 10 years ago. I also use them for headlight alarms and to tell me when I have left the master switch on in my airplane.

They made in several styles. most common are pulsing and a solid signal one. Get the solid signal one so it will make noise in sync with the turn signal flashing.

Sonalert Part number SC416 is a good recommendation but anything in the SC6xx will also work. I just checked one I have here and it is an SC628.

http://www.mallory-sonalert.com/2_2_1_1.htm

Most of the larger electronics concerns sell Mallory products including Newark, Digi-key and Mouser to name a few.
http://www.mallory-sonalert.com/6_1.asp

An alternative approach is to go to Radio Shack and look at the audio beepers and buzzers. Look for one that beeps in your hearing range. I drove Arch's coach two weeks ago at DuQuoin. I noticed that he used the Radio Shack beeper and not a Sonalert. The RS ones are not quite as loud or reliable.

Wire the Sonalert across the turn signal flasher. When the flasher is open and current is flowing, the Sonalert will beep. The flasher is only open when the lights are flashing. Most of these are solid state beepers and are polarity sensitive. So if it does not beep after installation, reverse the leads on the flasher.

The stock GMC mirror mount contains a slot that the mirror mounting bolt
slides up and down in to get the best vertical adjustment for the driver.
There are also round side marker lights that have an amber lens on the front
and a red one on the rear. They mount the same way as the mirror and if you
can ignore them, you probably should turn your drivers license, ha ha. Most
trucker supply stores have them. Mostly plastic and not very expensive.

Yep, I learned the trick from Arch. Radio Shack or JC Whitney is the place. I even have one on my vdub. You may have to muffle it.
