Yowzah - $600+ bucks and not available for an Olds engine! Makes me thing very favorably about Patterson. However I do appreciate the posting. There are a lot of good ideas for us in other parts of the motorsports hobbies and industrial venues.

It is interesting. Most newer high performance engines where designed with a system like this... or even one coil for each cylinder.
BUT... the main advantage is to increase available spark at higher RPM's. (When a single coil doesn't have time to fully charge between sparks.) Most of us do not run our GMC motors at high enough RPM's to NEED this product. (Now if you turbo it and NEED a hotter spark.... )
