Looking for a part number for the turn signal flasher, maybe I am making this harder than it needs to be but can't find something exactly as removed from my coach locally. Thanks, Bryan 76'Eleganza TN

You know, I would like an electronic (LOUD) flasher. The Radio Shack buzzer trick might to do, but still, I want a digital flasher.

Gee, I'm full of wants here lately...

Rock Auto shows 4 different flashers:

Tridon Part # EL12 $ 5.82
Airtex / Wells Part # 1R2193 $ 7.54
Tridon Part # LF12K (Loud Flasher) $ 8.16
Standard Motor Products Part # EFL1 $ 9.05

Of course this is for a '76 Toronado, but my wager is that they are all the same.

I have noticed that sometimes the rate of flash
seems to speed up before there units fail.

Is this common?

What the heck, no risk, no reward? Are you guys talking about memory chips,
bi-metal blinkers, marriage, perverts or what??? Preceeding comment is meant
to be humor, not technical in nature, FWIW.

That's the direction I went initially, the Toronado flasher is a 2 prong unit and the coach uses a 3 prong unit, thus the confusion. The part numbers you listed are of course 2 prong so no joy. A standard 3 prong unit from the local auto store does not have the unique configuration of prong alignment required to plug back into the coaches plug. This may be due to the emergency flashers working through this flasher or the sequential side marker lamp and its illumination opposite of the front and rear signal lights... so still looking for a suitable replacement.

Depending on the year of your coach, there are two different configurations. Early coaches used 1 flasher for both emergency flasher as well as turn signals. Due to a change in law, later coaches used 2 separate flashers--one for emergency flashers and a separate one for turn signals. This may be causing some of the confusion of 2 terminal vs 3 terminal units.
