After 3 weeks to do a 3 day job I`m back on the ground. I`ll drive it around some in the morning and check the ride height again and probably start pulling the rear bearings and checking rear brakes. I`d like to thank all the fine folks that have helped me thru this project with support and the loan of tools. Thanks... ya`ll know who you are..

Chuck,
Nicely done! Thanks for the photos...
What color did you paint the calipers? Porsche yellow?

You mean to tell me that being the new president of Dixielanders has it's

Chuck,
I will also add after reading your photo comments -- in my opinion it is never a waste of time to clean (and if possible paint) parts before reinstalling. Not just for looks -- it is a lot more pleasant when you have to work on them again, for adjustments and such.

Byron: I believe all the fine folks that helped were GMCES members also. A credit to your fine leadership. Another trait I hope to learn.

Chuck,
The other day a Ferrari pulled along side at a light and I saw twin red calipers on a drilled rotor and thought "that would look good on the GMC"...
Did you use a special high temp paint on the drums? Brand/source?
Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis: SEM spray can paint from a local paint supply house. $10 a can delivered to the driveway on his way home.
