Hey All;

Diana usually sleeps or reads or watches a DVD movie in the back of
the motorhome while we are driving down the road. At times it's
necessary for me to get in touch with her while she is back there, so
I'm looking for a 12 Volt Intercom system. Anybody have any idea where
I can get one? Wireless would be perfect if they are available. Thanks
for any help.

Sure Gary. Walmart or any electronic place. Get a set of those walkie talkies for 20 bux. Hang one back in back and one in front. I am sure you already have a set.

Gary,

Most of the wireless units are "carrier current". That means that they use the power lines in the house to carry the signal. I suspect that this would not work out very well.

I put wired units in boats and make a power supply to work from 12vdc.

Also, I do have 5 wireless intercoms that run off AA batteries if that is what you think is best. Let me know. I have used them for nearly a mile. They are intercoms that hang on wall or sit on a table top. Teri got mad and took them all out because she said I called her too much. Had one in every room and the basement. Go figure. I never did understand her reasoning on this.

Maybe you have it already in a wireless home phone system? Most of them have
an intercom feature and speaker phone as well. You might have to add an
inverter to power the base.

Walkie Talkies Gary. Every pawn shop in America has at least 2 sets
and they sell 'em cheap.
