A work of warning when adjusting the rear ride height. I have found that the mechanical sensors in the rear have a dead band area. After adjusting the rears take the coach for a ride and bring it back to a level place. Then immediately check the rear height again. I think you will find it has moved. adjust the sensor links appropriately and take it for another ride. After two or three trips you will have it set correctly.
Also cut your self a couple of 2x2 or 2x4 wood blocks measured to the correct height. Then use them under the frame for checking the height. It is a lot easier using the wood blocks than measuring to the top of the holes.
I also have been playing with front ride height and wheel loading using a set of scales. I have found 1/4 inch difference in the rear ride height adjustment will cause a 150 pound difference on the front diagonal wheel loading. I mention this so you will attempt to get the rear adjustment as closely as possible to spec.
Good luck. It is not difficult to get it adjusted correctly.

Both Dave Lenzi and I sell adjustable ride height links which make the
adjustments somewhat easier. They're sort of like turnbuckles so you just
have to loosen jam nuts then turn the center portion to change the length of
the connecting rod. It's easier to make fine adjustments with them than by
tinkering with the OEM adjustment.
Dave's are beautiful, with SS parts & Heim joints. Mine are cheaper, with
gold cadmium plated steel & sealed ball joints. Both available from JimK or
direct.

Fred,
When I make the links, I have a jig which sets them to exactly the same
length as the original fixed links. If it pulls, you changed something
(like the length of the links). :-)
Darn it, they keep changing my adjustable links!

I have found that the ride height sensors don't all work exactly the same
way. This is a cut and try process to get the rear ride height exactly right
and responsive to changes in loading like full freshwater tanks & gasoline
tanks. That is why the adjustable links are important. Also, the led's and
photo transistors which are all 30 plus years old, can and do fail and/or
get enough mud & dirt inside to react kinda funny. It is a GMC after all, it
is just the best, not perfect.
