Thanks to help from the forum I managed to pull a rear drum on the coach. The brake shoes look fine but the PO not only removed all the praking brake cables but EVERYTHING inside the drum related to the parking brake. The spreader bar is gone and so is the lever arm that the cable hooks to.

Since the local parts stores do not seem to carry a listing for GMC motorhome, what do the brakes cross too? 1 ton GMC truck? They seem to be pretty standard Bendix/Wagner brakes and look about the same as the rear shoes on my 69 AMC Ambassador.

Jim K, here is a pic or two of what is left.

Wayne,

You say that you pulled "a" drum off. If you pulled a mid wheel, maybe the rear wheel still has the guts. It's possible that you could get an operative parking brake on one axel.

Both driver side brakes are missing all the parking brake parts. I am assuming that the curb side would be the same.
