Armand, we were in Quebec City near the end of July. Because our first
choice of RV park was fulll, as were most of the others, we stayed at Domaine
a Bel Age in Mercier, QC, across the river from Quebec City. It was an old
RV park, but acceptable. A GMC is parked there in the storage area. The
drive to Quebec City is only about 20 to 30 minutes from this camp ground.
We were towing, so took our towd over and had no trouble driving around the
city; however, we did not park in the city--we went to a small village
outside Quebec City and had lunch with the locals. If you have a GPS, you
should be able to find the RV parks easily.
Two places we really enjoyed were Rimouski and Riviere du Loup, along the
St. Laurent Waterway. Each night we were in Riviere du Loup, we went to the
park along the waterway and just sat and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. In
Riviere du Loup, we stayed at the Municipal Campground, very near and
overlooking the waterway. There, I took a whale watching cruise and saw
Baluga whales and hump backs.
We also went into Montreal and just drove around. FYI, Cirque de Soleil
practices in Montreal, their home base, so there is a nightly FREE show in
the city. We found the site just driving around. We did not go to the
show, but were told it is worthwhile.
You will enjoy Quebec.
