Trying to help out a friend. Took his knuckles/hubs off for inspection and found a bad CV joint. What do you all recommend for a replacement outer CV joint? I've looked at this one from O'reilly's

Thanks

Sir: From my experience I do not believe that axle will work for our GMCs. It is listed as new. The axle will fit a Toro but the inner axle spline count is different. The inner joint is round..
If you will change your search to 76 Toro it will show a new and a reconditioned. If you will notice the recon inner joint is a TRIPOD shape. These joints will swap to the GMC axle. Make sure and check the axle when you get it. Sometimes they do not have cores and will replace with new.

These are the ones I just put on, they came from Advance and are recons from Fenco; Canada. I like the outer boots better and I don`t use an inner band. It gives the boot room to flex and not fold up, I went thru 8 axles to get these two. 4 axles I found would fit and work, but the outer nut threads were cut down to 1 1/4" instead of the 1 1/2". I ran one of these for 2 years with no problem except the boot wadding up and cracking in the folds.

Good Luck
