GMCWS and Applied GMC are sponsoring a raffle of two complete Brake
Reaction Arm units. These units will include everything necessary to
convert a coach with OEM drum brakes, from the Master Cylinder to the
disk brakes and part of the prize includes free installation. If the
winner wishes to perform the installation, a $600.00 Applied GMC gift
certificate will be substituted.
One unit will be dedicated to a lucky winner whose address is east
of the Mississippi, the other will be dedicated to a winner west of
the Mississippi.
.
Ticket prices are as follows:
$10.00 per ticket
6 tickets for $50.00
13 tickets for $100.00
Time for an update. As it stands, if you are an E coast ticket
holder, your chances of winning one of these is twice as good as a W
coaster. So far, only 98 tickets have been purchased by E coast
GMCers. Applied GMC is the heaviest hitter we have when it comes to
donating raffle prizes to GMCMI, GMCWS, and GMCES and if we want this
to continue, it is up to us to keep this from being such a losing
proposition.
For those of you who are newsletter editors, please get the word out
to your members via your newsletter. This is indeed the biggest give
a way we're ever going to see and it needs your support.
Donations through this site: http://www.gmcws.org/

Tickets will be available at GMCMI Fall rally through Dan or Terry Gregg
At GMCWS fall rally

Thanks for the update.
GMCES newsletter has been printed, collated, folded, addressed, and stamped.
The info about the raffle is in there. It's also on the GMCEast.com website;
just scroll down to see it. While there, take a gander at the photo of Dave
Perry's coach and look over the tech seminars planned for Saturday before
the MI convention (a part of the ES rally for fall). "Doc" White twisted
some good arms putting this together.

Thanks Steve, for taking this on. Also a big thanks to Jim K. This is a heck of a deal for two people and some of you seem to be extremely lucky. I seem to see folks winning over and over at the conventions. I hope yall have your tickets. Should you be attending Du Quoin, please get those tickets from Teri. I would rather her sell them than me. She sells lucky tickets. Most of mine are duds, ha, just kidding. At Du Quoin, we will have two colors of tickets. You can purchase the ones you want, East/West or both. I suspect this is the largest gift from Kanomata ever. So, at Du Quoin, make sure you tell Teri Blue/Red, or both. 100 bux for 13 of these tickets is chicken feed for what is being donated. Wish I could get in on the deal but it would not be right. So, I am just saving up for my set.
It took me a long time to figure out just what Chuck had here. Jim tried to show it to me 3 years ago but I was not the least bit interested at the time. As time went on, others stepped in and made it so I could understand.
Then, back in May, I really wanted to understand. I had to slide through a red light coming off the Ms. River Bridge in Cape Girardeau, Mo. I was praying the folks that had green saw my rear wheels sliding and would let me through the red light, they did. Whew, What do you think was in my mind as I burned the flat spots on those tires? "Reaction Arm", oh yea. I started my savings that day, as that was twice in less than a year this has happened to me. First was a guy stopped right in front of me and I was doing 55 mph.
Anyway, if you can not be at Du Quoin, hollar at Steve and Nancy, they have your tickets.
Thanks to everyone that is involved in this. Byron, it looks good on the website.

Dan, There is an old saying that goes something like, " There is none so
righteous as a reformed hooker." Once you see a properly set up coach in
action, or have the opportunity to drive one like Ricks, who bravely let all
comers drive his coach and really stand on the brakes in traffic, you will
be a beliver in the reaction arm system. Can't say much about the reformed
ladies of the evening, I'll have to take Emery's Home depot experience as
gospel.

Dan,
I had a long conversation with Jim this afternoon and he is insisting
on splitting all raffle profits between GMCWS and GMCES so the race is
on. You can get in on it. Just buy your tickets from Nancy, not
Terry. No one should object. If I get another coach, I'll buy some
from Terry.
So C'MON, LETS SEEM SOME TICKET SALES. Dan is right in that this
is the biggest raffle giveaway in the history of GMCs.

Dan,
I have no hesitation about buying raffle tickets. I have never won
and it would take divine intervention at this point to change that.
Every time we go to a rally, we set aside an amount we consider to be
a fair contribution to the good time we have at the expense of others
sweat. That is our raffle ticket money. In Las Vegas, we used to
bring whatever small amount we could tolerate losing, this is sort of
the same only a much better cause.
Keep in mind that the goal here is to get one of these things on the
E coast for folks to try. You can always have someone else purchase
tickets for you and keep them separate from your own.
Besides, if you don't buy, how can you expect other to:>)

Go for it Dan! I can't see how anybody could take this as a conflict of interest even though you do work for Jim at the conventions. This isn't some big corporation's promotion and nobody is going to sue anyone over who did or didn't win. IF you were to win, and as much as you use your coach, I can't think of too many people better to have this promotional system on. Besides, there is no way to rig this and we KNOW you would never be a party to it if there was! I've bought one set of tickets and will buy more in Las Vegas. Good luck to everyone.
