Greetings All,
Just checking in to say we're still alive and kicking but having way too much fun.
The ARK is rarin' to go but I have to finish this year out with car club commitments. Then it's back to normal ..whatever that turns out to be.
Might have previously mentioned the nice man that sold me an excellent 455 for a flat of beer. Couldn't resist the deal... so gave him two flats... made both our days. It now resides right alongside of the other gifted piece... a Caddy 429 c/w tranny, a good piece for the '35 Chev... maybe.
Project underway restoring to original a '70 Olds W31 4spd. Bucks and smiles. Body on car rotisserie, hoping to paint by end of month...will see. With luck, on the road by spring.
Meanwhile playing a lot at car shows with the ol' '59 Vette.
Damn... Can't get the grin off my face.
Monitoring net when possible. Good to know you're all well.
Take care all,
Richard and the ARK

Richard,

Good to "see" you. We had a recent conversation here about you & the island
-- speculation about how many GMC's are there. Do you know?

Are you still fooling with Omnistor's?

Ken,
Can't imagine how that conversation went! Very Happy

Memory is great... retrieval is the problem..

I seem to recall some years ago talking with Denny and a couple other islanders we were at something like 26 including the local smaller island's fleets. One or two are pretty rough (ie. dead but for the newspaper announcement), while a couple are still driving but I have no idea how. Then the bulk of them are in various degrees of roadworthy condition all the way up to beautiful. The usual mix. I see about 1/2 dozen every summer just on my few trips to the local parts store and down the street at the coffee shop.

Nope, not fooling with Omnistors any more.

Will send a private message if I can find your email addy.

Cheers
Richard and the ARK
