All,
I just upload 16 images of parts I just found up in the pod, into the photo gallery (ksphoto1) . Long story short I am not currently nor have I been able to climb up onto the roof, but my wife can and has been, she just never wanted to get into what ever was in the pod. After 3 years and a weekend designated and I felt good enough to work on the GMC so we "might" get her on the road at least once while it is Summer
Now I have house batteries and a new compressor the for suspension, Next front AC, if I have any money left to get someone to work on it.
Anyway, my wife climbed up and opened up the pod and she handed down the parts so I could at least write down what was up there.
I found a jack, but is this the original jack? If so how is it used.
I know it is a distributor cap, I figure HEI, is the white rotor what is used- no I have never had the cap off so I do not know.
There are other parts
There are other parts I have very little knowledge about- I know a bearing but what and where is it used. The PO liked to change bearings instead of doing a correct repair, I had Cinnabar do the repairs right after I bought her, before I knew about the co-op or how important this list is, actually the people on this forum are the important ones.
So I have these parts and I would hate to see someone needing them while they lay here and rust. But if no one needs them maybe someone can tell me how to help preserve them- coat them with something to inhibit rust.
How long can a belt last if it has been out of the weather and unused, same with a radiator hose?
Any help would be appreciated.

Jack is original. Should have a chain with it.
Look in owners manual for directions on usage.
To me it is an accident waiting to happen.
The distributor cap, white rotor and control module
are all for HEI distributor. I also see three pictures
of drive axle parts. Two inter ends and the ball
bearings for the outer end. As for the bearings
none of the numbers are any I am familiar with.
One set is rear wheel outer bearings.
15103 rear outer bearing, 15243 rear outer cup.
I don't find answer to Set 45 unless it is part of a
Wallace bearing set up.

Thank you for the information. For he life of me I looked at the jack and could not figure it out - if it was original without causing damage to either me or the coach. I do however think getting T fence posts out of the ground seems to be a much better use for it.
Gene, those two last images somehow ended up on another page of "others" mine are in the ksphoto1 gallery.
I guess others then the HEI cap and rotor the bearing and such might just be put into my shop and forget about carrying them.
I am betting the belts are too old- no pictures- and with my luck would last about 5 minutes same with the radiator hose.

Matt,
I really have no use for the light, Roger Black offered me 20 for it plus postage, I figure he might really have a use of it. Better that then sitting here.
I know from the PO's records he went thru bearings like most people go thru underwear. Which led me to believe the bearings were for the front. Mind are all new all the way around 2 plus years ago, so with only maybe 1k miles I think I am good there.
I guess I should keep the CV joint kit , my luck I will screw something up along my ownership and why not have the spare.
The jack from what you and others have said might a make a better T post puller, since I have T posts to pull that if anything screws up nothing will be damaged, it will become a farm tool.
That is about what I thought on the sunpro meter, not quite as useless as tits on a boar but almost.

Hey Matt,
I've used that jack on several occasions, both front and rear,
without any damage. But, as I recall, there's a service bulletin
telling of GMC adding an extra bracket to the front bumper
support sometime during production. JWID

Sir: neet stuff. The inner joint has bearings missing and seems to be scored. It is probably good for a core. The switch is probably ment to go with the underhood light to activate when the hood is open. The rest of the stuff I would clean up and pack in the coach somewhere. Not much sense to leave in the garage unless you want your garage to look like mine..

That's what I need, a "T" fence post puller. I bought one from a farm
store and broke it on the 4th post I tried to pull.
Wish I had one of those jacks for a fence puller.

If you really want one, I will bring mine to the IL GMCMI rally and give it to you. Let me know and it is yours. I will get it out of my way then. It is worthless for the GMC. I carry a floor jack in mine but have never used it.

I'm surprised you haven't done as I did for use in the pit: An old 16.5"
rim laid on its side, with a 3" pipe welded vertically supports a flat plate
to which the base of the jack is bolted. Great for raising a wheel, etc,
from the bottom of the pit.

Another use is to weld a piece of heavy material to the base, approx 16"
square, and make a bracket that is pivoted on the bottom that has two or
more holes aligned with the hub studs. It makes a handy stand that can be
elevated and pivoted. Just bolt the hub & knuckle to the bracket to balance
the assembly for reassembly to the A arm ball joints. Turns a wrestling
match for two into an easily managed assembly job for one. I will post pix
in a few days to show how I do it by myself.
