Hi, Billie.

Just wanted to let you know that I am finally home from the hospital & on the road to recovery! The first back surgery was on 7-29-10. Everything went well with the surgery & then I went to the Frazier Rehab. Hospital for the rehab/occupational. therapy. Got to go home on 8-12-10, thinking that I was getting well and on the way to feeling better. Was in severe pain the night of the 12th & had to go back to the hospital on the morning of the 13th. After an MRI (with dye) & another test, the doctors discovered a blood clot, so I had to go back to surgery the evening of the 13th to remove the clot. On 8-16-10, a pick line was surgically inserted into my right arm so that I will receive antibiotics twice a day at home for another 2 to 6 weeks to prevent infection.

JR and our children (Denise & Troy) have all learned how to hook up everything to run the antibiotics at home. I have to go to the doctor this Monday to get the stitches out & to check the blood levels, etc. I am being sooooo pampered & spoiled by everyone. Last night was the first night being home & I am so excited about being with my family again! Got to see both kids & some of the grandkids..& best of all, got to be with JR.

Thank you so much for the cards, prayers & get-well wishes. They have certainly worked & I am feeling much better this morning. I love you so much & really appreciate your friendship! Please tell everyone that I miss all of you & will be looking forward to seeing you again soon. I will be in a back brace for the next 6 weeks & it will take about 6 months to recover completely, but I should be able to travel to the GMCMI in September.

Hugs & kisses to all of you. Life is GREAT & God has blessed me so much with my family & all my GMC families. Thanks for everything, Jeanne

WOW Jeanne, a real ordeal for you and the family; my wife went with the pick line two years ago, plus an illiostomy bag. Not much fun, but I'm sure you'll pull through with flying colors.
