Thanks to all who helped to reach this plateau. We couldn't have gotten
this far without the efforts of ya'll and many others not on the
Net/Forum.

I notice I've been charaterized as "persistent! Dedicated! Stubborn,
Fanatic, Passionate and Obssessed, this latter from the fair Lady Helen
from Down Under, whom I hope to meet real soon.

Jan agrees with Helen! But this is the only way I can avoid Jan's long
honey-do lists.

Now for a time-out so we can return to regular programming... "90° bend
in a pipe", "solar panels", "tires", "STRONG gas Odor"

We are at 8,002 this a.m.

Thanks again!

David,

Helen was speaking of ME when she noted that GMC's were an "Obsession,"
However, if the shoe fits . . . .

I'm still slogging away on Double Trouble, I'm down to putting interior back
together so hopefully we'll see you and Jan later this week.

It is amazing that over 60% are still around!

Regards,
Rob M.

I was just thinking the same thing!
If you look around, you don't see any cars from the 60's, 70's and 80's are rare. Yet, there is this window we look through, and travel in, that was built from 73 to 78. The GMC Motorhome has certainly earned its place in history as a lasting design and consumer good.
GM obviously built them as " business as usual " without the slightest idea of what they were building would still be running the streets of America, and various other countries, 30 PLUS YEARS LATER!
This is remarkable for a machine marketed for a niche consumer window with no thought of it being on the road 15 years later.

What stories these GMC MotorHomes would tell, the places they have been, the different types of uses they have been through.

Many thanks to the GMC community that works so diligently to keep them rolling.
