About 1 year ago, I dropped my tanks, replaced all fuel lines ( added
a throttle body). since then i have put the old girl on a shelve, I am
now able to get back to work on her. I start her up she seems to idle
fine, but the gas is about a year old.. 1/2 tank.. if the consensus is
that the gas is old.
can i add fresh gas to her?
try to pump out and dispose of the old gas?
some other idea?

thanks in advance..

Add fresh gas and drive around to mix the two --
that's what I would do...

Also, it wouldn't hurt to dump a 32 ounce
bottle of Sta-Bil into the tank whilst you
are stirring it around through driving it!

I've been a user of Sta-bil for a long time on my collector cars, and it does seem to work well. Does it do anything after the fact to help ro "restore" old fuel? I only thought it worked when added to the fuel before storage.

I put the recommended amount of Sta-Bil in my tanks when I filled it up to begin
with & am glad I did. I haven't been able to run the coach in a while due to
needed repairs, but I exercise the genset regularly & it's running fine on gas
that is almost that old. Flathead motors are a bit more forgiving on fuel.
Filling it up with fresh gas & adding Sta-bil before filling at the gas station
is what I'd do. It won't hurt the engine & it just might help prevent vapor
lock, but I've seen no evidence about the vapor lock. To me, it's just being
proactive.
