Buying the pipe for the coach today, and need some info from those who have
done this before.

I know it's a tight fit, but does it matter if the pipe is flared so it can
be joined together?

thank you,
pete

If you flare it you will not get it through the silicone grommets. The flare should be on the end of the Y pipe and the front end of the tail pipe (pipe that exits the rear) not on the straight length.

Use the wide band type of exhaust clamps to join the pipe. Makes it very easy.

Don't flare it. Just use band clamps that don't require a flare.

The kit I got from Jim K came with flares and bands. It is solid. The flares
won't fit through the grommets, but that is not an issue if you build it
right. I'm sure Jim would be happy to help you out.

Ken,
Your right, we give free advise to anyone that calls us on our toll free
line.
We find that we like to be ddoubly sure that the joints will remain , so we
expand the ends then use the band clamp over each side o assure of a even
better seal.
