My roof A/C quit working. I am fairly sure it worked a few months ago, but it hasn't been hot enough to worry about... I KNOW it worked last year... it was working when the Onan died.
It is:
Coleman Mach - model number 8333-871 - R-22 Refrigerant
The fan runs. I checked the start and run caps and they check out like good caps. I jumped the thermostat and the compressor runs (vibrates) but none of the tubes change temperature.
Is there anything else to check before I pull the unit?
I have an almost new 15k low profile Carrier Unit on my other coach. (Not being used, but not yet a parts coach) That I could transfer to this one but would require removing the pod or relocating the MaxAir unit to the center hole and installing the low profile unit on the front hole... plus the rewiring to make it work.

If the compressor is vibrating and the lines don't have different temperatures I would suspect the compressor has a broken piston or rod.

It isn't vibrating any more than I would expect from a good unit --- If anything, has a little less vibration than expected.
I do not think it matters but, the bottom frame on the AC is bent and the compressor isn't setting straight up and down. It looks like it is the original AC that hasn’t been removed from the time it was installed. (Coachman… high quality components installed by poor quality workmanship.) If so, it has worked that way for over 30 years.
I think it may be time for a new AC. Family RV on eBay has some nice Carrier units.
Thanks for your input.

If the compressor is running and there is no temp differential the first armchair diagnosis is loss of charge.
