Hello,

I am posting this for a fellow Revcon owner with some fuel injection issues. I'll paste his request below. So, if anyone has the calibration numbers, please let me know and I'll forward this information to him.

Thanks a bunch.

We installed a Howell system a while back and have been having some issues with
dying/stalling etc.

On the road, visiting Kathy's friends in Long Island. Turns out the friend's
son is an old friend of Bob Raucher (sp?) at Dynamic EFI. They make
the 'Embedded Locker' system used by some Revcon (and apparently lots of GMC)
folks.

Long story short, we've spent the last week having our very basic
and troublesome Howell slowly morphed into a Dynamic EBL system with all the
bells & whistles, ie; VSS, knock sensor, HEI distributor, electronic spark
advance and even air intake temp sensor. (Taking it out for some 'VE Learn'
runs today).

Robert asked me to put this out to the gearheads in the group: Does anyone have
the calibration numbers for a Dynamic EFI - as installed in their rig (455ci)? He
figured someone has been running a coach and already has the best numbers. That
made sense to me. If anyone has - and could email -those calibrations we would
appreciate it.

As one of the EBL pioneers on the GMC 455, I started with the 454 Bin (Bin 13 if I recall). It ran much better right off than it ever did on the Howell, and the Howell was an improvement over the carb.

Be careful with the version of EBL firmware you get a Bin from. There recently was an upgrade and it changes the Bin. I am still using the older version so my Bin would not likely be compatible with your EBL.

Also look at the tops of the injectors you have on your TBI. If they are domed shape, then you likely have 80 pound per hour injectors, if not, then they are most likely 63pph injectors. This is critical as it determines the fuel pressure you must use and the BPC setting. Read the Google group notes carefully on this. You want to keep your VE tables below about 85 max.

You will love the EBL.

Ken's suggestion is excellent. There are a number of us working with the EBL. We have a number of bins to share. Your friend won't be sorry about getting the EBL.

I have the same setup as your friend; 455, EBL, VSS, elections spark and am willing to share as are others. Gbeckman at pggp dot com.
