23' Birchvaven spotted on Golden Gate Bridge on Monday at rush hour with a vintage orange dirt bike strapped on back. Cool!

Carlo,
I have never seen so many of the 23foot units around our shop.
I like the door close to the front door.

I have both a 23 and a 26... The door on my 26 is just as close to the door as the door on my 23.

But I do like the door on the 23 being closer to the front seats! Twisted Evil

(I know that was what you meant but I couldn't help myself.)

Turns out that's Andre's coach. I spotted him over at Ham Radio Outlet
in Alameda. He was actually going to West Marine to price out some
fiberglass for a repair.

He did say that was him on the bridge coming back from Humboldt.

That's the first one I've spotted since I got my coach. Nice guy to meet.

It's kinda neat how the 23' really does almost fit into parking spaces.

No longer (and very little wider) than a lot of today's pickups.

While it WILL fit in many single parking spaces, I normally use two. (Side by side) I have been blocked out of the coach by someone parking to close to my door.

I am thinking my "permanent" GMC will be a 23 foot. Currently looking for side-bath "core" some where in the west.

I had the guy next to me in my storage lot park a little close. I could
still get in, but I'll probably leave him a note about blocking the only
door I get in and out of.

Any suggestions what it should say?

That brings on a funny thought...... You open the door to the GMC, it bumps the vehicle parked next to it and the vehicle flops over on its side........ Laughing

...the other vehicle is a 30-foot moving truck.

It just got me thinking, "There's no other way I could get in!"

...You can't go through the front windows. All of my big windows are
locked. I can't get in through anything on the roof.

I do like the way the GMC only has one door, but I hadn't considered
this problem before.

I always worry about that a bit in case of emergency such as fire. There are some unfortunate cases were people have pulled over next to a guard rail and weren't able to get out. I'd also like the conventience of just getting in or out directly to the driver's seat. I realize at least one person has made that mod.

I know that there's a rip-cord in the back glass that supposedly will
let the glass fall out for escape. I don't really want to ask is anyone
has done it.

I suppose you just have to know when it's time to break out a window.

You guys nabbed me! Thought I could be inconspicuous and slip through the Golden Gate without being noticed. I guess the bike on the back foiled my attempts at scrambling your radar...

http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/7560888@N02/4817714354/sizes/m

I was heading back from a great Reggae Festival in Humboldt, with three good friends along for the ride. By the time I got to the east bay from sf, I had punctured my rear driver side tire somehow. Desmond found me in the parking lot of West Marine, pouting over my flat tire and a the newest tatoo my coach had acquired (fiberglass damage)

thanks for all the tips Desmond... I look forward to rallying with you in the near future! You mentioned Marin... Anywhere with an abundance of good oysters works for me! Tomales, Bodega, etc

My "eagle eye radar" will spot any GMC whizzing by! Being in traffic made it that much easier! I commute from SF to Vallejo everyday, let me know about your Mini-Rally on the coast...I am really close by for a weekend jaunt for oysters! Sorry to hear about the Tattoo Sad
