I want to use the spare light blue wire in the tail light wiring harness for a towed brake actuator. Where do I look in the harness at the front? and in the rear?

John--there is a large multi connector near the joint where the dash intersects with the driver's side panel. I wanted to do the same thing and I can see the connector, but can't get at it. I suspect various coaches may be more or less accessible. At the rear, you can get at it on the driver's side--I can't recall if you can get to it thru the speaker hole or the tail light access panel, but it isn't difficult. I wanted to do the same thing but after looking at the gage of the wire, and the difficulty of reaching the front connector, I decided to run a separate wire.

My pickup up truck trailer brake controller wants a 12 gauge light blue wire for the brakes (the electrons in the wire do not like colors other than light blue.) How large is that Lt.Blue wire in the GMC. My controller will also handle uo to 6 wheels braking so I assume that some thinner wire would work if you only have 2 or 4 wheel brakes.

John;
Use the lt blue wire to run the coil on a relay, feed the relay with a heavier guage, fused wire and it will do the job much better.
