You are not the only one, was getting the Bad error message, it was the boards side, not yours.

Sorry folks, I was on vacation enjoying Rocky Mountain National Park and my GMC when the server that the forum mirror runs on had a hard disk failure Thursday night.

My ISP restored the disk some time late Friday night and I was able to get the forum mirror up to a read only state sometime Friday or Saturday.

But with limited internet access and the excessive amount of fun I was having in the Rockies kept me from spending much time working to get the forum fully functioning until I got back home. I got home this afternoon, unpacked the GMC, mowed the lawn and then got the database problem with the forum corrected.

It should be working now. The post between Thursday and Sunday will not show up on the forum mirror. These post can be read on the GMC Archive site, http://groups.google.com/group/gmcnet-archive , always good to have another backup Smile

Hope that clears things up.

Thanks Eugene. I figured you were out of town and would get it back-up ASAP. I appreciate all that you and Patrick do.

Glad you put your priorities in proper order(enjoying your GMC, lawn mowing etc.) and appreciate we are not too far down on that list.

I just did it with a new gmail account set up just to read GMCnet. As it is
text only, you can use it to archive ALL of the messages posted.

Go to gmail.com and you should be able to set up an account. THEN send the
above message, you start getting the new messages, but none of the messages
posted before you sign up.

Actually, if you're already posting via the forum, then your email address
used for the forum is already subscribed to the email list. It's just set
to "no mail" to prevent bounces.

That doesn't prevent also using a gmail account. You can have multiple
email acc'ts subscribed.

BATMAN: Thanks for your efforts; I had a problem but knew that it would soon be fixed so just laid back and waited.
You are the best!
