If he had written disseminate (which more letters and one more syllable), you probably would have though he want to get someone pregnant. Wink

Yeah! What he said...er, promulgated.
I have a lovely bride of 43 years. Talk of procreation is not permitted.

GMCDL Rally next week. I'll try to give a little presentation on the system
and its advantages and hopefully prompt some ticket purchases.

Steve,

I don't suppose you've already prepared a flyer with all the details of what
the system is, the raffle details, and how to purchase tickets, have you?
Time's running out with us leaving tomorrow morning, but if you don't have
something, I'll have to prepare one -- Dixielanders often suffer from CRS
and can't even find their notes. Ask me... I are one... one what? :-)

Looks great to me, but I'll wait until this evening to print copies just in
case there are changes.

By the way, I just came in from packing the toad. As I was about to put the
mock-up in, I realized how it can demonstrate the transmission of force to
the front wheels: I put a hinge on top of the "chassis" just behind the
front wheel and an extension spring under the bottom to hold the chassis
level without load. When applying brakes with the original setup, there's
no deflection at the hinge. With the BRA installed, every degree of locked
rear wheel rotation causes a similiar degree of deflection at the hinge --
very dramatic. I'll try to get time to post a couple of revised photos.

Thanks!

Ken H.

I wish you wouldn't. I bought a hundred bucks worth of tickets and I would happy if the hat containing the tickets for the east-of-the-Mississippi entrants only contained 13 tickets.

Rick -- I sat down and figured out the tickets necessary from JimK to break even. Figure it's not going to be too much of a problem, which is a very good thing for a guy who does so much to support us. I'd really hate for JimK not to break even on this deal. Unfortunately, it's a very bad thing for those of us who actually want to win one of these great systems.

Oh well. I'll be throwing my money in on East of the Mississippi too. It's a real Catch-22 when you think about it, isn't it???

It is going to be very close. I doubt that Jim will break even on this.

Well, despite the fact that it would lower my odds of winning, I very much hope that JimK breaks even. Once the paypal link is working, my money will go in and then I'll do my best to forget I ever spent it. That way I'm not disappointed when someone else's name comes out!

If not, remember that Jim is a heavy hitter in the dontations
department. There'd be more than a few GMCMI and GMCWS rallys that
didn't break even because of him. Most of us just can't do this but
one thing I do have is the time to take care of the details. Billy
Massey has been a real life saver on this also.
The first time I met Jim was at GMCWS Mariposa. Well over one
hundred degrees, flies as thick as clouds and here's Jim covered with
grease, sweat and flies, under a coach making good on a final drive
warranty. I knew who I'd buy my parts from for as long as I owned a
GMC after seeing that.
