Please help keep this thread from straying.

Here's the straight skinny. More to follow.

GMCWS and Applied GMC are sponsoring a raffle of two complete Brake
Reaction Arm units. These units will include everything necessary to
convert a coach with OEM drum brakes, from the Master Cylinder to the
disk brakes and part of the prize includes free installation. If the
winner wishes to perform the installation, a $600.00 Applied GMC gift
certificate will be substituted.
One unit will be dedicated to a lucky winner whose address is east
of the Mississippi, the other will be dedicated to a winner west of
the Mississippi.
.
Ticket prices are as follows:

$10.00 per ticket

6 tickets for $50.00
13 tickets for $100.00

Ticket stubs will be kept in two different drums. One for the Eastern
GMCers, one for the Western GMCers.

The two winning tickets will be drawn on the 21st of October, after
dinner on the last night of the rally. The drawing will be video
taped and put on UTube.

Tickets may be purchased by using PayPal, personal check or money
order. Please mail personal checks or money orders to:

Steve Ferguson
PO Box 1777
Sierra Vista, AZ 85636

PayPal information will be posted on the GMCWS website.

Steve, Do you have to be present AT THE DRAWING TO WIN if you are west of

I had a bet with Nancy that someone would catch that Fin. I noted the
conflict after I finished typing and figured the heck with it, let's
see who is the first. Tag! You're it!

Excellent idea. I will definitely buy some tickets but what are the proceeds going toward? I don't see it in this thread.

On another note, I'm on the East Coast so I don't think I've yet ordered directly from Jim K, though I think I have some of his goodies through Jim B, but I do want to give him a big thank you for this and other raffles he continues to be involved in as well as his general support of our hobby.

Thanks,

Jeremy,
How about if I said, "my beer fund"? No, not really, we are hoping
to recover the costs with ticket sales and if we don't, Jim will bear
the freight. Jim will be in this for a ton of $$ and I sure hope in
the limited amount of time between now and the drawing, he can recoup
some of his outlay.

Will do. I'm not bright enough to figure out how to put a PayPal
button up so when Billy gets time, he'll see to it.

Jim,
That gets pretty complicated in a hurry. Let's see, GMCers buy
tickets from you, you write it down, you remember where you wrote it
down, you call me or Linda and ask us to send XX number of tickets to
?? Sounds like too many middlemen to work well. However, if you
insist, we can start just as soon as you clean off your desk. Let me
know when, and please attach photos of your desk cleaned off.

Gene,
The paypal stuff has been removed from GMCWS.org. Check only at this
time. Just remove the reference to the GMCWS site and it'll be OK.

Gene

Your link is just fine. It does not say anything about using PayPal.

Everything is still on gmcws.org. Only thing is we cannot say
anything about using PayPal for accepting payment for raffle tickets.
They do say that we can accept donations, however. So, the link to a
page for donations is available.

I have conformed to PayPals demands to remove their name from the
pages. Just have to wait now to get Steve's account released.

All should be resolved by the end of today.

Don't tell me that Jim M. has a similer problem.
After seeing the picture, I need to put up a drape or finally get off my
seat and throw away half of the El Crapola.

Yes, we are all so busy that we go from task to task with no time to place
things in order. Eventually, with me anyway, cleaning up the mess is usually
preceded by my barking the hell out of one or both of my shins on the stuff.
