What if a local club bought this or one of the many unloved coaches we see these days and just stored it?

What would it take to stall further deterioration?

You should talk to any club that has tried to keep a "club" trailer

Times change, the internet makes some things more practical.

Say the Tidewater Crabs chip in an buy the $500 coach in Virginia Beach, someone must have a place to stash it out of the way.

They do a thorough survey, get it running, start it every so often, or drain the fluids and mothball it somehow.

Then announce to the world that it is available for what the club has in it and after a year or agreed upon time frame a decision will be made to part it out.

A potential buyer would be approved by the club as having the wherewithal to take it on and not some guy who plans to live in it in his ex-wifes back yard.

It does not seem like such a heavy lift to me.

This would make it possible for someone in another part of the country to make an informed decision about rescuing one of these bargains.

Go for it Dave. Put one of those $500 beauties in your back yard
where you can see it every day. When it breaks, you can find out who
really loves you. Four years down the road, you'll really find out
who really loves you.
Time doesn't change group ownership IMHO. Pretty soon, ilnesss,
change of motorhomes, divorce,a move or just plain sick of looking at
it takes it's effect.

Club, schlub, I would put a $500 coach in my back yard for a storage building! Priced one of those lately?

Yeah but your neighbors may not be real crazy about it. I store most of my GMC spares in the transmode. We are far enough back from the road that no one can see it so it works for us. An empty transmode has a lot of space.
