While at the "Back to the 50's" car show in St Paul, I stopped at the Amsoil booth and asked about ZDDP levels in their oils. The rep did not know what they were, but promised to research it for me. I was surprised to hear from him. Here is what he sent me. Hope this PDF file can be posted. If not, and you want to see it, send me a Pm and I'l email it to you.

Well looks like the forum wouldn't take the PDF... 18kb is to big, so if you want to see it, PM me.

The email list (most of the GMC forum) doesn't take attachments of any size.

You can post PDF's on the photo site. <http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/>

That way anyone who wants to look at the file can do so without doing the emailing/replying dance.

Larry,
I get a kick out of asking those guys questions. Most of them just
want to use the stuff and not have to pay the regular price. Last
year at a. GMC It'l convention, I bombed one of the attendees who was
selling the stuff with questions. Caught him flat footed. I did the
same thing to the same guy this year in Montgomery. He did his
homework!

Steve,
The GSTA still has a show, it's earlier in the spring, indoors and not nearly as big. BTT50's had 11700 entries this year Razz

I talked to the Amsoil guys before and their oil with ZZDP looks might good, it's what I'll be running in Big Blue when she gets past her break in period.

That's funny. At the Market America International Convention I asked the Friction Free 3000 rep about that very thing and we had a long discussion about how it is a suitable additive for oils without zinc and does not cause poisoning of the platinum catalysts in current autos. He was very knowledgeable about the issue. I use it in all my vehicles.

Nawww. I'm still stuck in the 60's and if it wasn't so much work, I'd
still have long hair. I rolled that car just a couple weeks after the
show. Got $2 for the car, and $3 for the battery. Put me in the
hospital for months. Still love 'em though.

Thank you. I've saved and printed it.

I'm a long way away from having a satisfactory GMC coach.

JFWIW: There's a GMCer who happens to belong to Eastern States and
Dixielanders that can set you up as a "dealer" with Amsoil.

You can contact John Richardson about it. <JRichsR@aol.com>

Not exactly relating to this thread, but any GMCer concerned about
engine and trans life can go to this website for free Blackstone Labs
sample kits:
http://www.blackstone-labs.com/free-test-kits.php

It cost's $22.50 for the oil analysys, email report and hard copy
report. Postage to mail it in for analysis is $1.65 They are fast,
and have a data base on our coaches so if something out of the
ordinary shows up, they spot it imediately and give you a "heads up".
