I'm having trouble getting into any Google Group. The list of my groups
appears OK, but when I select any one of them, I get a "redirecting" message
which is repeatedly refreshed "forever". Here's the URL it's trying to
access:

https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=groups2&passive=1209600&continue=http://groups.google.com/group/gmcmh-efi%3Fhl%3Den%26pli %3D1&followup=http://groups.google.com/group/gmcmh-efi%3Fhl%3Den%26pli%3D1&hl=en

< https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=groups2&passive=1209600&continue=http://groups.google.com/group/gmcmh-efi%3Fhl%3Den%26pli %3D1&followup=http://groups.google.com/group/gmcmh-efi%3Fhl%3Den%26pli%3D1&hl=en>I
need to do some maintenance tasks on GMCMH-EFI, but I haven't been able to
get past this obstacle for about 5 days. Sure would appreciate any ideas
anyone has.

I got right in,
so if you use IE, you might need to clear your cookies, delete
temporay internet files, etc..
If you do online banking or anything that remebers who you are, you
will have to reinput the passwords.
firefox, mozilla... should have the same type of controls to clean up
.. just not sure where it is..

Which browser are you using, Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox? I would be that there is something special about Chrome and Google Groups, but I don't know for sure. I tried Chrome for about 10 minutes once and was not Wow-ed. It's a browser.

I know that my work e-mail's web portal (Outolook Web Access) has more functionality with Internet Explorer than it does with Safari. Makes sense to me that Microsoft would favor their own browser.

Worth a try?

Larry,

I've been using Chrome almost exclusively for over a year now. I like it
better than IE or FIrefox; I haven't tried the other & see no reason to
leave Chrome, especially now that GMail is my preferred email client -- no
more broken threads, and I can find any old message instantly.

Per my other note, CCleaner cleared my cookies & corrected my problem.

Thanks for your help.

David,

Thanks for the reminder. I ran CCleaner, which cleared my Chrome cookies,
and I'm again able to get in.

You'd think after all these years I'd know what to try! :-(
