Hello
I am looking for a outside windshield cover for my GMC. All I can
find at Camping world is for class C homes. Does anybody
know which one is good for our GMC's.

Margaret Guske makes a nice see-through cover for the outside of the windshield. It requires installing seven snaps, but it fits perfectly and you can even get a model that accommodates wind wings. Excellent quality.

Guske Sales is on the left. They don't do email, so you'll need to call them.

I had a custom one made at a local top shop who has done some of my custom
car stuff, and we used stainless welding rod, put eyelets in the corners,
drilled small holes through the rain gutters and made s hooks through the
eyelets and the holes. small bungee cords hold the bottom. Our cover is made
to wrap clear around to cover the front windows too. I had a roll of
Naugahyde that we used for the interior, so we used that. I think he charged
me $75.00 labor.

G'day,
We made our own windscreen cover, using shade cloth, by laying it out on the windscreens and cutting to shape and then sewing it together. It cuts down the heat and glare, we can see out and no one can see in, unless they get real close. As a bonus it also acts as a bug screen for the side windows. We still use the curtains at night, unless we are camping by ourselves
It slides up over the front and is held in place with 2 occy straps (bungee cord), no screws and no clips.

My windshield cover wasn't fastened with screws and snaps. It uses 4 hook and loop fasteners one on each corner behind the cockpit windows.I have needed to replace them twice in the past 20 years.

I am looking for a outside windshield cover for my GMC.

If you have the material, it is pretty easy to make your own.
If not, go to those farm places, sometimes HomeDepot might have the fence screening ( a mesh like tarp ) for the material.
If you have a window screen for the inside, it can help you figure the size you need, if not use newspaper.
Cover HALF the window from the center to the sides. fold it so it covers only just over the rubber gasket. Tape with masking tape to reinforce the paper edges.
fold your material in half then place the paper pattern over it, the mid section at the fold of the material.
Cut along the pattern IF YOU PLAN TO ATTATCH TO THE WINDOW WITH VELCRO STRIPS
IF YOU PLAN TO USE ROPE AND NO SNAPS....
Allow 3 inches along the sides and bottom and 4 inches extra along the top. Sew in a 1/8 or 3/16" poly or nylon line (rope) along the top, then sew another line along the bottom. Leave about 12" on each side on the top, 24" along the bottom.
Just sew the side edges, no line, for looks.
Drill a 1/8" hole in the gutter end, you will use an "S" hook to tie the top line to.
Use bungi to attach the bottom line to the base of the GMC, this will keep it tight on the windshield.
No snaps or holes in the body.
GOOD LUCK
