Isn't Rotella strickly for Diesels. I am a recent synthetic convert. I was going to put synthetic in the Couch also. Is that a bad idea?

Time to stock up is now. Go by a 55 gallon barrel of your favorite oil now. Sams sells Rotella in 55 gallon barrels.

The Rotella T oil both dino and syn work great for our coaches. I
switched from the dino to the syn last year.

Chuck,

Rotella can be used in anything but an aircooled 2-stroke without serious issues.

I am not sure why you want to oil your Couch (maybe just a place to store it?), but if it is attached to a 455, that changes things.........

If your engine does not have a high oil consumption issue, there is no reason not to change to a synthetic oil and get the advantages. You do have to find one that has the high level (used to be the normal level) of ZDDP. (read old posts about Mobile1 and others).

Matt - if you are bothered by spelling coach as couch maybe you should
also be by spelling Mobil as Mobile!

Emery,

It didn't bother me at all, but the mental picture it created was too good to ignore.

And how can we be sure that oil isn't from Alabama?

I try to never miss a chance to make light of a situation.

Wink
