It is 80 degrees this morning and I just rechecked my engine vacuum line, filter, etc work from yesterday. One vacuum line going into the front of the carb was replaced with a new one but could have taken a smaller size. I replaced that one this morning with a smaller size much tighter fitting one and took a little trip up the highway. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, and in fact seemed to be running a little smoother. So from this, if not all the problem, the temp is a problem, and maybe that tighter fitting vacuum line helped. Still scared of it. Going to give the in line filter a look see if it exists and replace or install just for peace of mind. I was also running the dash air yesterday when it started and after a couple of episodes, turned it off to get home. Home never looked so good. I could just envision me having it towed 2 miles home.

Bob and Sandra,
Intake has been blocked off since 2002 when I put in the new engine.
EFI is really a high dollar fix. $1.275.00 last time I checked. There has
to be something cheaper. I,m trying to call John Shapre for more info
on his suggestion. Lines busy
Charles

Chuck,
Even the worst of my vapor locks went away for a
while after I let the coach set for about 30 minutes.
"For a while", meaning mabe 100 miles further
down the road. So wait a while and try it again
before call the wrecker. I have never had a vapor
lock with tempetures below 75 degrees.
