My old 16.5 spare has had a slow leak for years. I finally decided to yank it and either go with a 16" or replace it with a new 16.5. Once I removed it I was struck by how nice these coaches look with no tire back there. I'm seriously thinking about yanking the bracket as well. I've never had the need for a spare in 20 or so years--on the other hand I suspect the minute I don't have it ...... Are any others running with no spare?

You would be limited to traveling only where you can get cell service and then waiting on them to arrive. Maybe you could fab an under-coach bracket if there was enough room around all the sewer hose, etc.

Would that work?

I have been told (by Bill Harvey who sent me these pictures) that it REALLY eats into storage under the bed.

It does "work."

Not in my case Harry.
There is a black dump and the hitch to deal with there.
Besides,
Nothing would say GMC without the space cover ?
Where would I put the Jenkins spare cover?
