Must be a GMCMC rally in SW MN this weekend. We were headed from
Souix Falls, SD., to St. Cloud, MN., on 23 and spotted 3 GMCs headed
W. I remember one from GMCMI Hart Ranch, SD a few years ago.

Saturday 6/5/10 ca 3:00PM EDT saw white-ish GMC with stripes pulling an all white Chevy HHR on I-95 West Haven, CT Nothbound -(toward the Cape or Casinos?) traffic 'kinda crawling - opposite lane couldn't (safely) eyeball the plates.

The GMC Greater Midwest Classics had a week-end rally on June 3rd-6th at Yogi Bear Campground just East of Sioux Falls SD. Toured the Lacey round barns w/antiques on Friday and Saturday afternoon was wine tasting and catered meal at the Stawbale Winery in rural Baltic SD. About thirty wines made there, but the favorite for Surbo was Black Current! Pancake breakfast on Sunday morning, so a good time was had by all. Signed up two new members. On Friday, Surbo updated the VE tables (6 flashes) on a coach that has the EBL system, sent the coach on the way back to WI Sunday morning, will see what the results are.

Jim, that would have been us, the Prices, in "The Roadhouse" on our way to
CT shoreline, where we were waiting for our mail in Fairfield. Outside of
New Haven tonight, then on to RI tomorrow. We were in the traffic on I-95
Saturday afternoon. Took us 30 minutes to cross the George Washington
bridge, but an memorable experience. We love CT and all the small towns
along the coast--just beautiful.

Hey Prices

Let us know if/when you swing back this way.

We're right south of New Haven and would be happy to have you park in front of the house (directly on the water - dead end street). Much better view than Wal-Mart.

We don't have our GMC anymore but if you google earth/streetview 6 Holcomb St West Haven, CT you'll see it parked (actually white-trash style up on jacks) in front of our place.

Is Google forever? <G>

Gosh, Jim. What an offer. Wish we had been able to talk before we settled
into our RV park on the east side of New Haven. We stayed Saturday until
Monday, waiting for our mail to get to Fairfield. We rode all those roads
near the shoreline because that's just what we like to do. Connecticut is a
beautiful state and we enjoyed/could have stayed longer. Anyway, thanks for
a wonderful invitation. After Nova Scotia, we plan to go by Niagra Falls,
so we won't be getting this far south on "the east side". Hope to meet you
in the future.

Hi Dennis,

Peter and Susan are the "new" ownewrs. Actually, June is their 1st anniversary with the coach.

(Sorry, I don't do Facebook.)

They've had some nice times with it. They're in a great part of the country to use and enjoy a GMC (I'm envious in that respect.) Also done some nice work <some expected some definitely NOT anticipated> on the Explorer. I'm glad they have the means and willingness to maintain it well - It's a nice one.

Jim,
We don't use Facebook either -- but followed the link from another GMCnet post and then scrolled down looking at the pictures. Nice photo of your former coach parked in the desert.

Thanks for that link.

Peter and Susan have graciously kept me current on their travels (and travails ;(< ). They've sent me some phenomnal photos. I've vicariosly enjoyed the coach.

I'm so glad they've been able to enjoy it.

The recent engine problem baffles me 'cause the rebuilt Jasper (standard model - not a Jim B or K special) couldn't have had more than 10,000 miles on it. Criminy.

We haven't talked in a couple weeks but, expect they'll be on the road again in a few weeks (finger crossed).
