That sounds like a good idea. I may try that for my GPS.
I did something similar. I had been looking for a small surround sound system for the TV in the coach for some time. I mentioned this to a fellow GMC'er here in town. He suggested I get a cable that plugs into the TV microphone jack then plug the other end into the input of the dash radio (used for MP3 players etc.). Holy smoke! Great sound for Movies on the TV or any program for which I want enhanced sound. Stereo too! So for an $8 chord, I have a six speaker sound system! My kind of fix.
