While we had the Coach on the lift yesterday, we noticed that there was evidence of Transmission Fluid around the Ragusa Pan.
All of the torx screws were in need of tightening. Each one took at least a 1/4 turn and some near 3/4.
Could have tightened them more but was not sure of the spec on them. Is this common for the screws to loosen up?

The problem with the Aluminum pan is that its almost impossible to
stop from leaking using cork or farpax gaskets.
Neither the tranny case nor the tranny pan will give.
Chuck Stoddard introduced me to an all in one silicone aluminum gasket
maker/sealer. I've been using it for at least seven years with great
success. I tighten the bolts to 20psi.

Manny / Chuck,

What's the sealant?

Is it only for Ragusa pans?

Who makes the torque wrench you have that reads in psi?

Richard,
When those get overtightened, it crushes the gasket rendering it
unusable. Contact Manny for the correct replacement and installation
procedure.

Any reason to believe that Valco's RTV will work any better than Permatex Ultra Grey Gasket Maker RTV? Permatex is carried in most parts stores around me.

Maybe not better Steve, but I've used Valco stuff with success.
Missed you at GMCWS in Auburn, CA. See you at Vegas?
