I had one set of these bushings snap this past weekend. Are there local
sources for these items? These hold the latch to the sliding window in
stock configuration. If I do have to order them, what's the best source?
PN is 704341 (replaces 707486) per the parts manual.
Thanks in advance,

Eddie,
They are used on all the windows of 1973/1974 coaches and on the cockpit windows of all years. (They coach windows changed in 1975.)
Best source would be Jim Bounds. <http://gmccoop.com/> He will include little plastic sleeves that hold the metal away from the glass.
Local source would be a hardware store. I am not sure of the spelling but they have been called "sex nuts." Another local source is office supply stores. They are used to hold loose leaf papers into a booklet.
I have brass hardware store nuts with Jim B's plastic sleeves.

I've been using round hard rubber faucet washers that I trim with a razor blade. I'd rather find something off the shelf that fits perfect.

Rusty et al,
I go the ones for my 73 from JimK -- a black molded button/stem with new screw included -- maybe $1.25 each when I purchased them.
Not sure about this item he has listed -- looks like what I bought.

They are called "binding posts" in McMaster Carr. However I agree with the comment to get them from JimB. Then you will not have to guess or do trial and error on the material and size. Also it's doubtful the hardware or office supply store will have the plastic bushings.

Thanks for the help. Thankfully, I've been swamped and haven't had a chance
to call for an answer to this question, but the price says $8. Is price for
one? One window? All?
