Ok, so this email is for the guys selling glass windows and parts.

I have a 1978 transmode and I need a couple things.
I need new glass for the window behind my entry door. I would also like to see or know if a "scoop or fresh air opener" is available?

I am also interested in getting scoops for the front windows. The slide fine but I need a way to get more air to the passenger area. I have removed the roof ac units and just have an air vent which is nice but does not provide a lot of air.

If you have these products please contact me directly on my email.

I got windwings but, nothing beats the 2 holes I have in the floor. Ram air right into the cockpit.

It is not cheap, but something like this works dandy: http://www.wingsandwheels.com/page37.htm (the Mecaplex side window with scoop) in a sailplane canopy. I wonder if someone else on the list knows if there is a similar, cheaper, part for cars or trucks? I would imagine that a custom, plexiglass sliding window with such a scoop would be really great up front in a GMC. I tend to use my hand for the same effect without any hardware or modification. The other possibility would be to use a vent hole in the firewall, covered by a spring-loaded (normally closed) sliding door that is controlled by a cable. Gliders have such vents, usually taking air from up in the nose at the tow hook opening. I never use the latter on take off, however. Once a wasp came up through the vent on the takeoff roll!

That's exactly what I meant for the floor/firewall vent. Has anyone seen anything such as a tiltable scoop or wind wing that could fold out from the sliding window? As I said previously, it might look something similar to the Mecaplex window I cited at http://www.wingsandwheels.com/page37.htm

Dennis,
I was so fortunate as to have Kelvin right there guiding my every step. Nothing like these vents for getting fresh air into the cab. I rarely use my wind wings now.

here is what you are looking for. they tilt front to back and thus can act as draft vents or act as scoops. they really bring a strong blast of air in the window but are a bit noisy.
