Ken, Carl, and I put on a new booster back in January. I was asked to report on it but I have had so much going on that I had forgotten all about it.
I had good brakes. I had to hit them hard though. by that I mean I had to push hard on my pedal. I did not like the feel of that. With this booster I now have a pedal that feels like a car. Friday I was showing Wally. I just lay my foot on it and "feel" for the brake I need at the moment. It does not give me better brakes but it sure makes them easier and quicker to find. I love the thing. A 7 year old kid can apply enough pressure to this thing to make the GMC stop. If you have good brakes but the pedal is hard, this will fix it.

Ken, have you got your's installed yet? I know you had some dash in your way. This is a funny thing, seems that the improved feeling has been a gradual thing. Maybe I have just had so many other problems since we installed it that I could not feel how it was working. If one has a wife that drives the GMC, she is really going to enjoy this improvement. I was sceptical but now I say money well spent. Does not make the brakes better but sure makes them easier to access when needed. No more 2 feet on the pedal stops in our coach.

PS
Ken, since you did so much work installing my Onan solid state ignition I thought I would give you a little more credit here than you actually deserve. Carl, well, just thought I would let folks know that he was the one distracting you as I replaced the booster, alone.

Mine is installed but I have not driven it yet to test it out. If I ever stay home for more than a few days at a time I'll give it a test run.

I was working on my trailer this week. I rebuilt / replaced all of the worn suspension parts and installed one size larger tires. Now the fenders hit the tires. So I need to cut the fenders off and weld them back on an inch or so higher.

I'm headed out first thing in the morning. The tracker is on but the local I-gate is down so I'm invisible until I get 20 or 30 miles south or west of here. I need to send the local control op a message about the I-gate. I'm tempted to come up on one of the satellite frequencies and get away from the terrestrial receive sites.
