Dan,
Unknown to Manny and me when we (mostly he) re-installed the
TH425, one of the cooler lines had a pin hole leak. That
probably happened when the line was disturbed during
uncoupling and recoupling. At any rate, Manny recommended
getting out/getting under to inspect for leaks when we got
to the bottom of his "hill". After he came down the "hill"
and inspected, he recommended we go to Kanomata's shop a
short distance away and have new lines installed. 'Did that,
using SS ('probably an over-kill as the OEM mild steel lines
lasted 30 years!!) - but I just like SS stuff. End of leak
problem.
A limited-slip differential might work. I remember, as we
ascended Manny's "hill", losing traction from the driver
side to the passenger side (and vice versa) several times
before the tires "smoked".

Fred, I remember finding you and Sharon in a parking lot,
after yall got down the hill. Bob Miller and I caught you
all decked out in your coveralls, or flight suit, trying to
figure out where that trans fluid was going.
I still think Manny could climb that hill with a limited
slip.
